Game-breaking bugs spoiled it.. We really looked forward to playing this game but it quickly became an exercise in frustration. We got stuck in a weird loop after chapter one, the envelope under the door never appeared and we just kept repeating the phone call with Carl and the dream sequence over and over, finally we restarted the game and after getting to the same point again the envelope finally appeared. Everything then went okay-ish until chapter 4, when we got to the part with the creature on the balcony with the two people another bug hit and we just couldn't get past it. We found a walkthrough that said to change to the objective state and interact with the people on the balcony, but when we changed to objective the people and the creature are gone. We've spent hours stuck at this part, we've gone back to previous game saves, nothing seems to work and we just can't be bothered st…
Brilliant. Sowas habe ich noch nie gesehen. Das Spiel visualisiert die Thematik in einer einzigartigen Weise und erschafft dabei Bilder und Stimmungen, die einem kaum ein anderes Spiel bieten kann. Wenn man Filme von Lynch und Tarkovsky mag, oder generell ein langsames, abstraktes und tiefschürfendes Erlebnis genießen kann, dürfte man hier viel bekommen. Der Kern der Präsentation ist äußerst anspruchsvoll. Man braucht wirklich ein Feingefühl für literarische und ästhetische Nuancen und auch die Bereitwilligkeit auf ludische Traditionen zu verzichten um alles durchsickern zu lassen, worauf dieses Spiel abzielt. Doch es soll nicht missverstanden werden, dass hier irgendein Künstler, der an dieser Software gearbeitet hat seinen Beruf verfehlt hätte. Es funktioniert nur als Spiel und seine Errungenschaften bringen meiner Ansicht nach das Medium im Ganzen voran.

Serving too many masters. A lot of the objective state vs subjective state was confusing and tedious but the rest of the story and the ending were really interesting.
