Bad PC port of good game. I own this game both on ps3 and Xbox 360 and I actually quite like it even if some things about the gameplay it haven't aged very well. However the reason for the low score is that as of right now, as the title suggests, this is a bad port of the game. The launcher does not work properly and tries executing an .exe that crashes the game. Instead you have to launch the game through a different .exe in the game folder. The resolutions only go up to 1920x1080 &; 1920x1200. There are no graphics options to adjust and the game stutters a lot seemingly locked to 30fps or something. The game crashed within the first few minutes of the tutorial level twice. I'm sure most of these issues can be bypassed but I don't think we should have to. If you don't own the game and don't mind tinkering with the game files to fix the issues mentioned then get it on sale otherwise just…
Great idea, terrible execution. **Not recommended unless you have extreme nostalgia or patience for bad 2008-era action-game design.** *Star Wars: The Force Unleashed* has a great premise: play as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, throw enemies around with the Force, and experience an over-the-top Star Wars power fantasy. When it works, it can still be fun. The story has some cool moments, the Force powers are satisfying at times, and the DLC/bonus scenarios have some entertaining “what if?” Star Wars spectacle. Unfortunately, the game is dragged down hard by terrible camera work, unreliable targeting, clunky controls, repetitive combat, and some truly awful encounter design. The biggest offender is the infamous Star Destroyer sequence near the end of the game. It should have been the game’s most memorable power-fantasy moment. Wersja na PC to nieśmieszny żart. Blok (nie wiem po co istnieje, skoro większość przeciwników go przebija i nie istnieje kontratak) i ataki mają opóźnienia, platformy są śliskie, kamera zmienia pozycję zupełnie nieadekwatnie do tego, co się dzieje na ekranie, a walki z bossami zależą od szczęścia, nie zręczności czy umiejętności. W wielu momentach trzeba dosłownie korzystać z błędów gry, żeby nie zostać stunlockowanym. Poddałem się na misji ze Star Destroyerem. Pamiętam, że przechodząc ją jak byłem smarkiem, wymiękłem dopiero na finałowej walce, bo za każdym razem na cutscence miałem crasha. Nie wiem, czy nadal tak jest, ale miałem kilka randomowych po drodze. Odradzam, prawie przebiłem ekran laptopa kubkiem przy którejś kolejnej bezsensownej śmierci.
Doesn't work well with mouse keyboard. This game seems to have some cool things, unfortunately this pc game has very bad mouse and keyboard support, I can't even access all options because of it. Very hard to play. Some voice lines also seem to have volume issues during certain cutscenes. A controller shouldn't be needed to play a pc game.
