Much better than I expected!. Likely like you, I eyed Othercide due to its style. In reality, on high settings (which aren't taxing, I played it on integrated graphics), it looks much better than on the pictures. It's hard to call it anything but art. Everything being grey impacts legibility a bit, and the fact that many monsters are very hard to tell apart doesn't help. On the plus side, you can peek at any monster's stats, see their specials with their range highlighted, and how much damage your chosen skill will do after all bonuses. The game does a tremendous job at explaining everything. I had my doubts after reading reviews, especially that I hate losing my guys/gals and always reload in XCom, but being forewarned, I immediately accepted it as a part of mechanics, and even marked the daughters for sacrificing well in advance like some psychopath. C'est métaphoriquement du rugby. J'ai trouvé le concept sympathique et original, un bon jeu tour par tour ou comme au rugby il faut aller en arrière pour avancer. Mourir fait parti du concept, le viel adage ne fonctionne pas ici car " tout ce qui nous tue nous rend plus fort" La patience est maître mot.
