Relaxing city builder but its EA. From playing this game, I can see how the devs have learned several lessons from their first game, Kingdoms and Castles. Resource management is more complex and housing units feel far more dynamic and interactive. The Pantheon system is quite interesting, though at the moment it only really revolves around advancing the research tree and storing gold. I hope that in future instamments, they add more gods and have more features in the bigger temples. The aqueduct system needs a bit more work. I know the devs overhauled it in a recent update, but the tweaking should continue. On an unrelated note its kind of annoying I have to go to Steam to read updates. Not a lot of devs post their dev notes on GoG's forums :( That said, I don't know how these devs code their game but it makes my PC chug A LOT. This was also an issue in Kingdoms and Castles as well. Fun city builder set in Ancient Rome. This game is a lot of fun. There's always more to add or play with to make your growing settlement better. Feed your citizens, provide them better quality of life, varieties of food and entertainment, all while appeasing the gods and fending off jealous invaders coming to plunder your riches. The devs are very receptive and provide good communication with lots of planned changes in the works. Lots of issues that are discovered by players are often addressed in updates, such as changes to how aqueducts function and logistics overhaul. If you enjoy city builders, this is a must try.
