Classic point and click from the 90s. This game was part of my childhood and was very excited to see it available on GOG! The game runs great, and if you enjoyed it back in the day or are looking for a classic from the golden age of adventure games, then you should definitely buy this! The atmosphere is reminiscent of MYST in that you play a protagonist who is thrown into the story with very little clues. On the Oregon coast, you, a writer, are called to the Lighthouse, occupied by a scientist named Dr. Jeremiah Krick and his infant daughter Amanda. You must explore the environments and meet the various inhabitants of a parallel universe. Can you save Dr Krick and his daughter? Can you discover what the Dark Being is doing? Can you get home? Play and find out!
Relieve old times. I played this for 30 years ago. I'm very pleased to play this again.
A Nod to the point and click classics. The game is like a cross between Azraels Tear and Amerzone the explorers legacy. There are multiple comparisons to Myst because of the point & click genre but that's where it ends. It's atmosphere and dark tone set the scene straight away as your thrust into this strange alternative world in the search for a Dr and his child who have gone missing under bizarre circumstances. There will be puzzles to solve and many of these are mechanical in nature. Obtaining keys to unlock things, gathering tools to repair or build things. There are journal pages to gather and read as you try and peice this mystery together. You can also travel in various forms of transportation between different places (submarine, omnicopter, batplane, portal etc). You will meet some interesting characters along the way, including a rather disturbing 'birdman' possessed by the dark…
Absolute Classic!. I played this game back in the early 2000s when I was a kid and it scared the crap outta me. Playing it again has been so much fun. So satifisfying to get the best ending!
