A fun experience. I bought this for like 1.50 €u and expected nothing much of it. Lacuna turned out to be a fun little experience. The game is not very long, but it's all about making decisions, combining clues and choosing paths. It's similar to way of the samurai on PS2 in this respect and it's fun to see what consequences your decisions will generate. It sucks that you can't freely save your game, but there is a chapter selection feature included which enables you to jump into different points in time within your playthrough. This makes it much easier to re-play certain parts and choose a different path or decide another way. I'd recommend this game to others. I very much liked that you can de-activate the constant tilting of the screen and the timers during dialogues.
Pretty nice, short and to the point game. Solid 4/5 game! No filler, story is pretty good and the gameplay is quite nice. Although the mystery part of whats happening is a bit predictable the game has a nice flow and good mechanics so it doesn't overstay its welcome! Game took me about 5 hours without rushing through anything so its a pretty fun couple of afternoons! For sure will be cheching the next game from the developer, Between Horizons! Certainly easy to recommend especially with the great sale price!
Wybrakowana opowieść (sci-fi) noir. To bardzo zamknięta, niemal liniowa historia, w której jedynym czynnikiem zmiany, jest umiejętność czytania ze zrozumieniem i uzupełniania luk w raportach. Czasem też kwestie dialogowe wpływają na pewne zdarzenia i pośrednio skrupulatność w badaniu miejsc pod względem śladów niemniej nie jest to wybitnie skomplikowana gra. Całość stworzona jako niezbyt szczegółowy piksel art, który nie raz pozostawia wątpliwości oszukując wzrok, ale też bez przesady, nie jest to okropne, po prostu niedopracowane. Oprawa dźwiękowa natomiast całkiem pozytywnie budowała zapowiadany w podtytule klimat - przy szczególnym uwzględnieniu czytania wewnętrznych monologów agenta. Za pewną niedogodność należy uznać treść. Ta nie jest dostatecznie dobrze wpasowana w akcję i bohaterów, służy bardziej "łamigłówkom" niż fabule, a mimo to część wyrażeń była myląca, przez co dwukrotnie…
A stylish sci-noir detective game. An intriguing detective story set in a sci-fi noir setting that is depicted with some gorgeous pixel art. The investigative work is interesting and it challenges you to make the right assumptions (which can actually change the story!).
