No where near as good as the first.. I see what they're trying to do with this game.. but they really missed the mark. I gave it my best and when I got to the damn near end of the game.. all a sudden they wanted me to go on some wild goose chase for an uncertain amount of some resource. They really wanted to do a survivial horror thing with this game which is wonderful but they botched it.
It's not just like Kona, but it's great!. I haven't finished playing yet but for now I can say that the game is really atmospheric - and I mean *really*. The music and sound design are awesome, the vibe pretty spooky. I like the full narration and appreciate that the player can choose between 3 difficulty options, and 2 "levels" of narration. The story seems engaging, I really like the world building. I'd say it's different from the original Kona, but it's still a very nice game. My only issue is with the controls but that might be because I'm using mouse+keyboard, it might be better with a controller. Still, overall it's a very cool game!
That was fine. Played first Kona years ago and liked it very much. This second game is not better, but it was a fine experience and it gives closure. Thank you for making these games. I remembered the old 3 Echo Night games playing this.
Couldn't complete. Before the Leech Lake Shelter chapter the loading freezes and the program crashes, so couldn't get anwhere near the end of this. Tried a few times.
