Good value for $3. More of a hack and slash than a puzzle or maze, but the characters follow the original design fairly faithfully. Each hero seems well balanced and has a variety of loadouts to choose for solo runs or party play. I did not have any trouble inviting GoG friends into a game or gathing for couch play.
Used to be better. Now, this is not technically a review for the game, but for GOG itself. When I got the game, I was able to play perfectly fine and I enjoyed it, solid game. But once my controller stopped working and I was forced to substitute my DS4 from my Playstation 4, I was afterwards unable to play at all. I do not understand why, by now, there is no support for the controller, the game played fine on the PS4 when I had it via a Playstation Plus freebie, so the controller CAN work for it, but no. Sad, because I can't even claim a refund despite it being unplayable now.
Long time enjoyer. I've already enjoyed it on playstation so I knew what I was buying. I love this game. The Gameplay, the challenge, the replayability, 10/10
A chaotic hack and slash with friends. This game is a chaotic ball of a hack and slash! Fights can get out of hand with Cult Skeletons using AoE damage magic, giant ogres with devastating knockback swings, clusters of enemies ganging up on you, or even Death itself killing you. It's easy to lose where you're at on screen, especially with multiple players playing, running, and chasing enemies, but that's part of the fun and hectic energy in Gauntlet!
