Play the "cheat trainer" version. There's some very good stuff here. Your combat team does tactical maneuvers in dim light, scavenges scarce resources, and fights creepy/strong things. Straightforward skill/research trees make a significant difference in the game as you progress. And the characters have enough self-defense smarts that you want them to survive. The stock game was good enough to draw me in. Unfortunately, it has multiple serious problems. The cheat trainer game solves many of the problems. Give your guys tons of ammo, upgraded guns, and all the armor. Save whenever you want. The game changes from "hellish grind" to "hey, I'm making progress." The developers get credit for recognizing the problem and releasing an official trainer for free.
Suprisingly good game. As in title. Graphic may discourage a little at start and from screensthots, but it's realy nice game beneath, with interesting gameplay. True gem.
Could have passed on it. The game has some good ideas but ther are poor dev choices that really subtract from the game. Why does it cost time to save and quit to resume the game later? Why do SMG's and Assault Rifles do less damage per shot than a pistol just becasue they shoot more often? Why is the game incomplete the ending is at what seems to be part way into the story then goes "to be continued" but nowhere on store page is there a hint this isn't a complete game but instead like part 1 of who knows how many games.
Reminds me of an Armor Games Flash Game. This reminds me of a very old flash game that I've been trying to remember. One of the scenes I remember is a level where written-in-blood it says "They put them with the Amish" and a bunch of drones became murder bots lol. Anywho, the game itself is about the same. Like a gem of a Flash Game.
