Fun Action Arcade Game. Simple, fun and addictive. Aesthetically quite charming with its pseudo 80s style, play this if you like arcade games. This would make a really cool arcade cabinet at a bar
Mediocre Game. The parry mechanic in this game is trash and what's worse is I couldn't rebind. lmao Otherwise the game is fine. Visually pleasant. Ok moment to moment gameplay.
Hard but fair. Bleak Sword DX runs about 5 hours, has a beautiful "fixed camera, pixel art creatures/objects in a 3d engine" presentation, features tight controls, and is both hair tearingly frustrating and utterly fair. The player has four directions of movement and three keybindings - attack (or, when held for a moment, power attack), roll, and block (or make your horse jump, for the short riding section). Totally managable. There are a dozen worlds, each with ten levels. A level is a small, static location, whereing you fight through a set wave of enemies. Enemy variation is excellent, with almost every one requiring a different approach. Hitting the block key within the small window where it's effective refills your stamina, so learning enemy tells is a must. Many baddies have unblockable attacks, so stamina management doesn't (usually) descend into perfectly timed attack/block itera…
