EVEN WORSE THAN FIRST ANODYNE. AVOID AT ANY MEANS! Stupid boring gameplay plus everything else extra stupid on top. With extra extra stupid dialogues in puberty-minded nonsense slang talk. IF YOU HAVE SOME BRAINS LEFT, YOURSELF, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME! Not everyone should be allowed to make games and publish them. These un-devs and their products deserve a lifelong ban from the universe we live in. SAVE YOUR MONEY, SAVE YOUR MIND !
A dissapointing sequel. This game tries to be a little bit of everything and ends up being good at almost nothing. The top down action sections like the first game are great, but smaller and spaced out throughout the game. Everything outside of those levels an absolute mess. Stupidly goofy characters to interact with, religious zealotry and a map full of pointless collectables make the world more of a chore than I had the patience for.
Une aventure pas anodine !. N’ayant pas joué au premier Anodyne en raison de l’absence de traduction française et après avoir vérifié s’il fallait avoir fait le premier épisode pour comprendre le scénario, ce qui n’est pas nécessaire, j’ai décidé de me lancer dans l’aventure. Je ne connaissais pas du tout le jeu. Je me suis lancé dans cette aventure sans aucune information sur cette suite. J’ai d’abord été surpris par la direction artistique : oui, c’est rétro. Mais celle-ci se démarque par la modélisation et l’aspect surréaliste des personnages. Ceux-ci sont grotesques, mais pas dans le mauvais sens du terme. Au contraire, ils apportent un cachet et nous plongent dans ce monde. J’ai été étonné lorsqu’Anodyne 2 a soudainement décidé de changer complètement de gameplay. On découvre d’abord des cartes en 3D, puis arrivent celles en 2D, avec une vue du dessus et des changements d’écran lors…
Game breaking bug halfway through. I was going to give this game five stars as I was really enjoying it until I got to the wrestling ring. Yes, there is a wrestling ring in the game. I have no idea why it's there as it has nothing whatsoever to do with the game or the story and seems really out of place and.. well, kind of stupid. But you have to get through it in order to continue the game. Well as far as I can tell it's broken, I can't do any damage to the opponent and there's no way out of it so it's game over. I followed walkthroughs and watched videos but nope, can't do damage no matter what. Might work on your system but it doesn't work on mine. The first part of the game is actually pretty good with solid platforming and lots of exploration along with some very creative design work. Yes it's low poly but still quite interesting to look at.
