Just shut up. Take note of how one character can completely ruin an otherwise fantastic game. Shipset is what happens when game designers try to copy (for some god forsaken reason) claptrap from Borderlands and make him WORSE.
Solid title with some drawbacks. It's an entertaining little 3rd person platformer. The gunplay's rather generic and the dialogue at points can get annoying. It's been fun however, I would definitely consider this on sale!
A great 3D action platformer. If you grew up playing classic 3D platformers like Ratchet & Clank, you will feel right at home with Akimbot. It's a colorful sci-fi adventure where you play as a robot named Exe, running and gunning through different planets.The movement mechanics feel really fluid — double jumping, dashing, and wall-running make traversing through 3D environments super satisfying. The shooting mechanics and weapon upgrades are fun to experiment with, keeping combat chaotic and fast-paced. Visually, the levels look fantastic with bright sci-fi environments, and the soundtrack pumps a lot of energy into every fight. It also blends in fun mini-games and vehicle driving sections to keep things fresh. Overall, it’s a solid, nostalgic 3D action game that is definitely worth a play!
Everything overstays its welcome.... Genuinely everything. They tried to switch it up by having several moments where you don't just run and shoot everything or do some platforming, but always in such a barebones state, that it is maybe fun for about 30 seconds and then just goes on and on. The platforming isn't horrible, but there's a lot, it isn't hard, and when you do fail, it seems like it's the games fault, because while the animations are very clean, I especially like the dodge animation, they don't fluently intersect. The wall running and grappling hook especially. My strongest gripe with the game, other than everything being way longer than necessary and not having complex or fun enough gameplay to support it, is Shipset, your "buddy", whose only purpose is being an annoyance, who can't stop doing quips every and all the time.
