I wanted to like this game, but.... I grew up playing games on my Nintendo. I knew of 8 Eyes from back in the day because I saw it in Nintendo Power, but I never had a chance to play it. But it stuck in my mind because of how similar it looked to Castlevania 2, which I loved. I noticed this last week that it's on GOG, so I picked it up to try, and it's a disappointment. First, you don't get the game manual with GOG, I had to search for a scanned copy online. Managed to find it, which was good because it has key details of how to play the game in it that you'd miss if you just started to play the game without reading it. And through reading the manual I find out this game isn't as open world as I had thought, as you need to go through the worlds in a particular order as each boss is only vulnerable to one sword, and each boss you defeat will give you one new sword. Blast from the past. OMG I had such a great time playing this game with my sister on the Nintendo back when we were kids, it looks like Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest (sorry that game is less than stellar) but don't worry this game is a lot better, though it follows a similar premise of collecting items from dungeons and battling bosses at the end of the dungeon, while the game play and graphics might be dated (this was out on the NES after all) it is still worth a buy for the price

Do fundo do baú para a GOG.... Na época de locadora, eu tive muita raiva desse jogo, pois eu imaginava estar com defeito, mas tratava-se de mapeamento de botões de forma atípica para jogos na época. Não era um jogo extraordinário, mas contava com gráficos medianos que lembravam os jogos em estilo Castlevania, e música mediana. Apesar dessas limitações, eu não poderia deixar de mencionar que, apesar de tudo, ficou na memória. É importante estar revendo esse título aqui na GOG, atentando que é um jogo desafiador com mecânica e estilo próprios.
